When high school students Connor, Kira and Ethan stumble upon Dino Gems, the mysterious stones bond their special magic to each teen, enabling them to transform into superheroes known as the Power Rangers.

Before long, it's revealed that the teens’ science teacher, Dr. Tommy Oliver, was once a Power Ranger too and since then, has been working on a top-secret experiment that resulted in the invention of Dino Zords, creatures of incredible strength and brilliance.

Now, as mad scientist, Mesogog, plots to return the world to the age of the dinosaurs, the teens must morph into Power Rangers and rise to the challenge to defend Earth. Tommy must also reignite his Ranger powers, join the trio as the Black Power Ranger and quickly teach his three students to harness the power of the Dino Zords – a giant Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops and Pteranodon. But when a renegade White Power Ranger strikes, it's up to the teens to somehow convince him to join the ranks and fight evil alongside the Power Rangers.
